Getting there
Most Playa del Carmen events are a short ride from wherever you’re staying, but they can be a long walk at the end of a big night. A cruiser gets your whole crew there and back on your own schedule, no waiting around for a ride.

After dark
The heart of Playa’s nightlife. Clubs, bars and live music are packed into a few walkable blocks, and things get going late.
Spend the afternoon at a beach club, stay for the sunset DJ sets and ease into the night with your toes in the sand.
Rooftop bars around Centro have great views and cocktails, and plenty of spots have live bands most nights of the week.
Planning a big night out? Park the cruiser at your place and walk or grab a taxi home. It’s the easy way to enjoy the night.

Yes, lots. Mondays bring charity bingo at Buzo’s, Tuesdays have Laura’s Quiz Night at Buzo’s and live salsa at La Bodeguita del Medio, Zenzi has live salsa on the beach several nights a week, Dirty Martini hosts karaoke on Wednesday and Saturday nights, and Sundays have the tianguis street market and a Latin pool party at Hyatt Centric.
November through March is the busiest stretch, with the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival, New Year’s Eve and Carnaval. Summer brings the Feria del Carmen in July, and September has Mexican Independence Day celebrations.
Plenty of them are. The Riviera Maya Jazz Festival, the Carnaval parades and the Independence Day celebrations are all free. Concerts and festivals at venues and resorts are usually ticketed, and each listing links to the official page.
Centro is very walkable, and taxis and colectivos cover most of the area. For more freedom, a Playa Cruiser seats three, is delivered to your hotel or Airbnb, and makes it easy to hop between events.
Open any event on this page and you’ll find a link to the official event page or ticket seller. Buying from the official source is the best way to get real tickets at the right price.
